Windows 11 Beta 26H1 Build Adds Gamepad Navigation to Bluetooth Quick Settings & Share Improvements

In addition to Windows 11 Beta Build 26220.9472, Microsoft has released Beta (26H1) Preview Build 28020.2991 for Insiders out there. Unlike the other build, this one comes with very little improvements.

Bluetooth Settings and Windows Share get useful improvements

One of the more useful changes in this build is support for gamepad navigation on the Bluetooth quick settings page. This should make it easier for users who rely on a controller to manage Bluetooth settings without reaching for a mouse or keyboard.

Microsoft is also adding the ability to pin favorite apps in the Windows Share window. This should make frequently used sharing apps easier to find when sending files or other content from Windows.

Build 28020.2991 is part of Microsoft’s ongoing 26H1 Insider testing, so these features are still subject to change before they potentially reach a broader Windows release.

Speaking of Windows updates, let’s not forget that Microsoft has fixed a bunch of issues with the September 2026 Patch Tuesday update KB5124008. For example, Microsoft has fixed Teams and New Outlook launch issues, mouse cursor and cursor animations, and desktop personalization.
