ARC Raiders Frozen Trail First Look Is Here Ahead of October 8 Release Date

Embark Studios has finally revealed the first look of ARC Raiders’ Frozen Trail update, giving players their first proper look at what is coming to the extraction shooter ahead of its October 8 release date.

Frozen Trail brings a new frozen map to ARC Raiders

The biggest addition is Pendola Pass, a new area beyond the Rust Belt built around an old Italian village and Exodus transport hub. The area is covered in ice and introduces brutal flash-freeze conditions, while a fallen Emperor gives Raiders a particularly valuable reason to explore the new location.

The update also introduces the Frigate, a huge ARC vessel that Raiders can board and explore. Getting inside won’t be straightforward, with players expected to navigate its corridors, unlock paths and deal with ARC enemies while other Raiders compete for the same rewards.

Three new ARC threats are joining the fight

Frozen Trail adds three new enemies called the Bully, Skulker and Hydra. The Bully is an aggressive machine that charges players directly, while the Skulker relies on stealth and surprise attacks. The Hydra takes a different approach, using three stacked autonomous sections and multiple weapons to pressure entire squads.

Speaking of new gear, players will also get the Stiletto battle rifle and Bantam revolver, alongside a Grappling Hook and new tether-based gadgets. The update is also adding Amplified Weapons, allowing players to unlock a fifth quality level and branch into new weapon upgrades.

ARC Raiders is getting a much bigger progression shake-up

Frozen Trail isn’t just adding another map and a few enemies. The update introduces the Outpost, where players can customize their own space and use a Research Workstation to unlock deeper weapon customization. A new Reward Pass system is also replacing the existing Raider Deck structure.

There are plenty of smaller additions too, including a camera gadget, weapon stencils, new instruments and additional questlines. Embark also says a Skill Tree rework and a new Map Condition are coming with the October 8 update.
