XBOX and IKEA Launch YXSTABY Gaming Furniture Collection
XBOX and IKEA have launched YXSTABY, a nine-piece furniture and decor collection designed to bring gaming-inspired elements into everyday living spaces.
The launch follows the collaboration announced in August, when the two companies first revealed plans to create furniture inspired by gaming without making it look out of place in a typical home.
XBOX and IKEA YXSTABY collection is now available
The YXSTABY collection became available in IKEA stores on October 1, while online orders are scheduled to open on November 30.
IKEA says the collection combines playful XBOX-inspired designs with practical furniture that can work in gaming setups, bedrooms, and living rooms.
The collection starts with the D-pad platter and D-pad cushion at $17.99 each, followed by the controller display box at $29.99, laptop support at $34.99, monitor stand at $39.99, and Thumbstick stool at $49.99. The more expensive pieces include the lounge chair at $119.99, TV stand at $149.99, and side table at $179.99.
The products are launching worldwide, although exact prices may vary between markets.
YXSTABY mixes gaming references with practical features
Several pieces take recognizable design cues from XBOX controllers while also serving practical purposes.
The collection includes rolling storage, a monitor riser, laptop support, and furniture designed to fit around televisions, consoles, controllers, and other gaming equipment.
The Thumbstick stool and D-pad accessories lean more heavily into XBOX styling, while products such as the TV stand, side table, and monitor stand offer more functional additions to a gaming setup.
The launch gives XBOX players another way to bring the brand into their homes beyond consoles, controllers, and other gaming hardware.
XBOX has also been expanding its ecosystem elsewhere. Its new disc-to-digital feature is now available to all players, while questions remain about the future of the XBOX Cloud Gaming controller.
Microsoft is also changing its cloud gaming hardware support, with XBOX Cloud Gaming dropping support for 2020 Samsung TVs.
Meanwhile, this week’s XBOX Free Play Days includes five Ubisoft games from October 1 through October 4.
