Microsoft is expanding its Device Ecosystem Platform with a major collaboration partner. Logitech has officially joined MDEP, bringing three new Microsoft Teams-certified devices designed to make meeting rooms easier to use, deploy, and manage.

Logitech brings three new Teams devices to Microsoft’s ecosystem

As announced, Logitech Rally Bar 2, Tap IP 2, and Tap Scheduler 2 are now rolling out globally. The new lineup runs directly on Microsoft’s Device Ecosystem Platform (MDEP), combining Logitech’s meeting room hardware with Microsoft’s enterprise-focused foundation.

For the uninitiated, MDEP is Microsoft’s platform for connected and specialized devices. It integrates with Microsoft’s identity, security, and management capabilities, helping organizations manage devices throughout their lifecycle.

Speaking of which, this partnership is about more than adding new hardware options. Microsoft wants organizations to get differentiated meeting room experiences without compromising on security, manageability, or consistent operations.

Microsoft and Logitech want to make meeting rooms easier to manage

Logitech says building its next-generation Teams solutions on MDEP allows it to focus on video, audio, and intuitive design. Microsoft, meanwhile, provides the enterprise platform underneath these experiences.

That combination could be particularly useful for businesses managing meeting rooms across multiple offices. A shared platform can help IT teams maintain consistent device management while giving employees a more dependable meeting experience.

Microsoft also says Logitech’s arrival expands the choices available through its growing device ecosystem. The company is positioning MDEP as a common foundation that lets partners develop distinctive products without adding unnecessary complexity for enterprise customers.
