GTA 6’s Reported PS5 Download Size Is 210GB
GTA 6 could be a monster-sized download, and PS5 players might want to check their available storage now. A new report puts Rockstar’s highly anticipated game at 210GB, giving fans another reason to prepare before launch. However, Rockstar has yet to officially confirm the reported file size.
GTA 6 will reportedly takes up 210GB on PS5
The reported figure comes from PlayStation Game Size on X, an account known for tracking upcoming PlayStation Store database listings (via Insider Gaming). The account shared the 210GB download size yesterday, alongside details about the Standard Edition and its preload schedule.
If accurate, GTA 6 will demand a substantial chunk of storage on Sony’s console. For comparison, the original PS5 offers around 667GB of usable storage from its advertised 825GB SSD. That means the reported download could consume nearly a third of the available space.
Speaking of storage, the reported figure concerns the PS5 version. Rockstar has not confirmed whether the Xbox Series X|S versions will require the same amount of space. The final download and installed sizes could also differ.
GTA 6 preload begins November 12 ahead of launch
Rockstar has officially confirmed that GTA 6 launches on November 19, 2026, for PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. Players who preorder digitally can begin preloading the game on November 12. That gives fans one week to download the game before launch.
Interestingly, physical copies will also require a download. Rockstar’s official preorder information confirms that boxed copies contain a download code rather than a disc.
That means players buying physical editions should also prepare their internet connection and storage space. However, the 210GB figure remains unofficial until Rockstar or the storefront confirms it.
