COD: Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 Releases November 6 With New Maps, DMZ, Weapons, and a Massive Battle Pass
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 is getting its first major content drop, and players have plenty to look forward to. Activision has revealed the Season 1 roadmap, featuring fresh multiplayer maps, new modes, an expanded DMZ experience, and more rewards. The season officially begins November 6.
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 adds new maps and modes
The upcoming season brings more than six multiplayer maps, including Backstab, Canyon, and a reimagined Shoot House. Shipment is already available following its October 27 release. Midseason additions include Ministry, Overflow, and other undisclosed locations.
Players can also expect returning modes such as Grind and Drop Zone. Halloween brings Possession on October 29 and Infected on October 30. Gauntlet 1v1 arrives through the Wager Match Event, with additional modes planned for midseason.

DMZ gets a dangerous new location
Season 1 introduces X01, a secretive weapons facility near Hajin. Players will explore underground laboratories, cargo bays, tunnels, and a sealed Deep Vault. New enemies, equipment, extraction challenges, and DMZ Orders will expand the experience.

The update also brings Forward Operating Base improvements, new Commander Hunts, and Resupply Run activities. Players can pursue valuable loot and rewards while confronting dangerous enemies across Hajin and X01.

New weapons, attachments, and seasonal rewards
The Season 1 arsenal includes the Cronen Osprey assault rifle and CSG-35 SMG through the Battle Pass. The JAK 12 automatic shotgun and ZLR Talonhawk melee weapon arrive later. New attachments also introduce alternative firing configurations for several weapons.
The 100-tier Battle Pass includes weapon blueprints, Operator skins, finishing moves, and other rewards. Premium buyers receive a catch-up system covering up to day 50. The Battle Pass costs 1,100 COD Points, while its bundle costs 2,400 COD Points.
Warzone integration and launch details
Modern Warfare 4 Season 1 launches at midnight ET on November 6, equivalent to 9 PM PT on November 5. The update integrates the game with Call of Duty: Warzone, bringing maps Hajin and Zodiac alongside the return of Verdansk and Rebirth Island. Activision plans to publish a separate Warzone roadmap on November 2. Additional events, weapon rewards, and midseason content will follow throughout Season 1.
