1. Disable encrypted connection (SSL)

  2. Click File.
  3. Click on Account Settings and select Account Settings.
  4. Select your email ID and click the Change button.
  5. Click More Settings.
  6. Open the Advanced tab.
  7. For Use the following type of encrypted connection, click the drop-down menu and select TLS if SSL is selected. If TLS is selected, choose SSL.
  8. Click OK to save the changes.
  9. Restart Outlook and check if it fixes the issue.

2. Disable Antivirus

  1. If the issue persists, try disabling your antivirus temporarily.
  2. Third-party security programs installed on your system can cause an issue with the Outlook connection.

4. Change IMAP and SMTP port
