Trakt is a Universal Windows 10 App, that has just been released to Windows Store as a third-party service. The service called ‘TV Show Tracker – trakt.tv client’, is a well perceived entertainment tracking app, designed to track the progress of TV shows and movies as soon as they are aired. Users of the app can keep track of their favorite movies or serials as they stay alerted whenever there is a new content to watch, which is the courtesy of the service’s ability to mark contents as watched or not watched.
The description of the app on the store reads:
“-FAST access to your tv shows
– CLEAN and efficient design
– DISCOVER popular and trending shows
– CALENDAR of incoming episodes
– KEEP TRACK of your progress
– OFFLINE ACCESS to your data
– IMPORT your TVShow backup
– STATS about your tv shows consumption
– LIVE tiles for the app and shows
– FREE access to all main features with no restriction on show number
– BACKUP your data to your trakt.tv account
Thousands and thousands of tv shows are available through the app.”
The app is designed to use the Trakt.tv tracking service at the back end and a few days ago there was an update pushed to the store that upgraded the app to version 1610. The features that come with the update are no doubt quite handy ones, including on-tap notifications, a check-in button to navigate to the check-in page, and some login bug fixes.
There is no official Windows Store app for Track that is dedicated to Windows devices, however, with this initiative of a third-party Windows app, users will get a similar experience to trakt.tv for Windows, on their Windows 10 Mobiles.
To use the app, users have to go through the simplest procedure, just create a Track account and earn all privileges that are available in the trakt.tv Windows app. To download and run the app, the minimum PC requirement is to have a device running the OS Windows 8.1 or up.
