FamiSafe is a parental control tool that can be installed on Windows, macOS, iOS, Android, and Kindle Fire devices.
This tool helps parents limit their children’s access to unwanted content, as well as better control how much time they spend using their devices, or using certain apps.
Unlike a lot of other similar tools, FameSafe is a two-part app, as parents need to install it an two different devices:
- The device that will be monitored
- The device that will do the monitoring
The core of the device’s capabilities lies in the latter, since that is the dashboard where all the preferences can be set from, while the first device will only have the client installed so as to implement the changes made from the parent app.
FamiSafe’s System Requirememnts
Because of the nature of this tool, the app itself is very lightweight, especially since, in theory, it will run continuously in the background of your PC.
That being the case, the actual system requirements are negligible, except for ~100 MB that are needed as storage space for installing the app.

Keeps your children away from unwanted content
FamiSafe’s core feature is the fact that it acts as a web filter, and that’s the main concern of parents nowaday.
As mentioned earlier, the service is a two-part product, with a parent app installed on the administrator’s device, usually their phone.
The Child app is installed on the recipient’s phone, desktop, or kindle fire, and it serve only as a filer, with the parent app being the dashboard where all preferences are controlled and regulated from.
Real-time notfications on everything that’s happening
Filtering out what a child can find online is one thing, but you can also see whenever they try accessings uch content anyway, all thanks to the real-tim notification system.
With FamiSafe, not only will you get instantly notified whenever a mnitored device tries accessing unauthorized content, you will also get a detailed report, timestaps and all, on everything they watched that day.
Besides this, you alos get to see when and which apps have been used, as well as  whether your kids are addicted to some apps.
Know where they are at all times
Besides being an activity monitor, FameSafe doeubles as a location tracker as well, so that you will always know when your child is off to places where they shouldn’t be.
However, keep in mind taht in order for this to work, their device needs to be connected to the Internet, or at least have signal.
Knows what should and what shouldn’t be viewed
Besides the obvious web filtering, FameSafe is also perfectly capable of detecting photos and text on the monitored device that ins’t exactly safe, even if it was there before the app was installed.
This includes photos that we stored in teh phones memories, texts received via SMS or messenger apps, and more.
