Epic Games announced today that the Opera browser will soon have an Epic Games Store dedicated Opera GX browser as part of a new partnership.

This news comes as the Epic Games Store app is also now integrated into Opera’s mobile browser, and players can use the store to buy titles on both PC and mobile.

The market for gaming is going to continue growing. However, it’s not just about the games. If you use an app like Discord to play with your friends, then that is something that needs support and Opera understands this fully.

Key features

One of the key features of Opera GX, which has led to its popularity, is that it allows you to easily play games from your favorite sites and stream them on Twitch. As both a store and a browser, Opera is already home to a large community of gamers.

GX is a simple and fun way to browse the web while playing games. It’s designed with gamers in mind, featuring features like RAM and CPU usage limiters, which optimize your gaming experience by prioritizing the most important processes, effectively reducing lag.

In addition, GX comes with a sleek and customizable interface to match your gaming style. It also supports RGB lighting effects on Razer Chroma and Corsair RGB peripherals, so you can make your browser as unique as you are.

Opera says that it wants to give gamers more choice when they play their favorites games and do other things online, essentially making competition between the Epic Games Store and Steam more intense.

Opera users will also get access to GX Corner, a new feature within the store that surfaces GAMES content such as game releases, publisher news, and more. GX Corner currently has a game release calendar, notifications for games on sale, and links to further information about games.

More variety in stores

The Epic Games Store is a great addition to the Opera GX portfolio. The Epic Games Store has already become a great place for PC gamers to purchase games. It has opened up new opportunities for developers to reach customers on multiple platforms.

If you’re an online gamer, it means your favorite titles are now available to buy on one convenient storefront. And if you’re a developer or publisher, it means your content is now in front of even more players.

Opera GX is already available for download on the Epic Games Store via this link.
