Elden Ring players pointed out that after starting the game, the sound either cuts out, or there’s no sound to begin with. Today we’ll show you how to quickly fix this audio issue in just a few easy steps.
Let’s get started.
How can I fix the sound problems in Elden Ring?
1. Check volume mixer
- Click on the speaker icon in the system tray.
- Open Volume Mixer and adjust Elden Ring sound volume.
- Make sure it’s set to an audible volume and unmute it if necessary.
2. Verify integrity of game files
- Open Steam and go to your games.
- Right-click on Elden Ring and select Properties.
- Click Local Files.
- Check game file integrity for Elden Ring.
3. Reinstall audio drivers
- Open Device Manager by right-clicking the Start button.
- Expand Sound, video, and game controllers.
- Right-click your audio device and choose Uninstall device.
- Restart PC. Windows will automatically re-install them.
- Check if the Elden Ring issue persists
Elden Ring is definitely no short of errors. Either players can’t summon ashes, get in-game horizontal lines, have no haptic feedback, or are stuck at a 60 FPS cap.
Hopefully, you won’t have to install the audio drivers, and checking game file integrity will be enough. If it isn’t, however, go ahead and do that as well.
