Microsoft has finally rolled out the Creators Update for Windows 10 Mobile. The majority of Mobile users now have the opportunity to try all the highly anticipated features. However, according to various reports, there are still some users who haven’t received the Creators Update yet.

As a matter of fact, Microsoft’s community forums are full of such reports where people complain about either not getting the update, or being unable to install it. Here’s what one user of the forums said:

“Hey, I’m using a Microsoft Lumia 550 (which comes with built in windows 10, and maybe the phone that belongs to the “newer machines” category). The creators update was supposed to be released on 25th of April, 2017 and I have checked my update page thrice today but still no signs of it.”

If you haven’t received the update as well, there are a couple of things you should keep in mind. So, keep reading this article, and we’ll try to solve the problem together.

Why you’re not getting Windows 10 Mobile Creators Update?

Your phone isn’t compatible

Unlike its PC counterpart, Windows 10 Creators Update for Mobile isn’t so widespread. In fact, only 13 devices are eligible for getting it. So, there’s a chance that you won’t get the update after all. Here’s the list of compatible devices, so make sure yours is on it:

  • HP Elite x3
  • Microsoft Lumia 550
  • Microsoft Lumia 640/640XL
  • Microsoft Lumia 650
  • Microsoft Lumia 950/950 XL
  • Alcatel IDOL 4S
  • Alcatel OneTouch Fierce XL
  • SoftBank 503LV
  • VAIO Phone Biz
  • MouseComputer MADOSMA Q601
  • Trinity NuAns NEO

If your device is on the list, but you still haven’t received the update, keep reading.

Update still has to be rolled out to your region

Microsoft usually rolls major updates for its operating systems in waves. That means not everyone will get it at the same time. So, if you’re living outside the US, there’s a chance that you have yet to receive the Creators Update. So, wait a couple of days more, and if you still can’t get the update, there’s something wrong with your system.

Update issues

As we said, if you’re fully eligible for receiving the Creators Update, and other people from your region have already received it, you should check out if everything’s alright with your phone. We had a similar problem with the Anniversary Update, and we’ve already written an article with workarounds. So, make sure to check it out, to fix any potential issues with your phone that possibly block the Creators Update.
