If you have been waiting to see what Nintendo has to showcase next, your wait might be over as soon as next week.

Nintendo June Direct likely to happen next week, on June 9th

Multiple rumors online suggest that Nintendo will hold a Direct showcase next week. Earlier today, gaming journalist Jeff Grubb, in his official YouTube channel was heard saying:

I have heard Tuesday, next Tuesday. Um, I’ll say Tuesday morning. I like I’m just going to throw the caveats out there that these things can get mixed up in terms.

That claim also lines up with what gaming insider, Nate the Hate, shared in his latest YouTube video. While the insider didn’t mention the exact day as Grubb did, but he was hard saying:

As from what I have heard, the Nintendo Direct will take place next week, the second week of June. And just to be clear, that that is the week of the 8th. Yes. Yes. Mhm. So, very near we will have that Nintendo Direct. And as we talked about back in March, Nintendo has a lot of games still to come this year.

So, it seems we are likely getting a Nintendo Direct next week, with June 9th being the possible date. As of now, Nintendo hasn’t announced anything officially. As we hear anything officially, we’ll update this article or push a new one to let you know.

Speaking of games, XBOX has its annual Games Showcase scheduled for Sunday, June 7, 2026. The main broadcast starts at 10:00 AM PT / 1:00 PM ET. It will immediately be followed by the Gears of War: E-Day Direct, which will run for a full 30 minutes, providing a deeper look at the upcoming title.
