Climate change is one of the biggest concerns in the modern age, and Microsoft is already using AI to tackle climate change issues.

However, that’s not all, the company has also made some adjustments to its Weather service, so let’s see what’s new.

Microsoft Weather will now show historical weather data

As you know, Microsoft Weather is available on all Windows 10 and 11 PCs, but you can also find it on Edge, and Bing on both browsers and mobile.

According to the MSPowerUser, Microsoft has updated its Weather Trends page with some new functionality, and now it offers historical data from the last 70 years.

This allows users to compare the temperature with any past year, month, or day. With this feature, users can see the average temperature, as well as historical high and low temperatures.

You can also see the weather overview for the selected year, as well as the overview for the past 73 years in a pie chart. Additional information includes the hottest, coldest, wettest and windiest months.

Speaking of which, it’s also possible to see historical weather records in terms of precipitation, humidity, and wind speed.

Overall, it’s a useful feature that can help users to better understand how climate has changed over the decades, so be sure to give it a try.
