Amazon Unveils 5 New Alexa Devices, Including $500 Echo Show 16 and Camera-Packed Echo Studio
Amazon has unveiled five new Alexa devices, bringing fresh hardware, smarter AI features, and new ways to manage connected homes. The lineup includes a redesigned Echo Show 16, a sleep-tracking smart clock, and a photo frame with Alexa built in. Some upgrades are impressive, but the prices might surprise you.
Amazon gives its Echo lineup a serious upgrade
The new Echo Dot comes with Amazon’s custom AZ3 chip and an AI accelerator for on-device processing. It also doubles as a smart home hub and an eero Wi-Fi extender covering up to 1,000 square feet. Amazon claims 50% more bass than its predecessor, with pricing starting at $99.99.

The Echo Studio with Home Camera takes things further by adding visual intelligence to Amazon’s premium speaker. It can recognize objects, help identify items for reordering, and let users check their rooms remotely. The standard Echo Studio costs $219.99, while the camera-equipped model costs $249.99.

Meanwhile, Echo Time targets the bedroom with customizable clock faces and camera-free sleep sensing. Its Omnisense technology can wake users during lighter sleep, within a 10-to-60-minute window before their scheduled alarm. The device costs $199.99, while the Kids edition starts at $209.99.

Echo Show 16 and Alexa Photo Frame bring screens into focus
The Alexa Photo Frame features a 10-inch anti-glare touchscreen and automatically syncs pictures from Amazon Photos. Alexa can surface selected memories and display photos based on people, pets, or trips. Amazon has not announced its price in the supplied announcement.
The redesigned Echo Show 16 packs a 16-inch Full HD display, built-in Fire TV, and new Screen Styles. Its optional Nanomatte display reduces glare by more than 90%, while the upgraded camera adds night vision and auto-framing. Pricing starts at $499.99, rising to $569.99 for Nanomatte models.
