AMD Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 Leak Reveals 8-Core CPU and Powerful Radeon 890M Graphics

AMD’s Ryzen AI 400 Series could soon get another laptop processor, and the latest leak points to an interesting addition. The Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 has surfaced with an 8-core CPU and Radeon 890M integrated graphics. However, several important specifications remain unconfirmed.

AMD Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 reportedly features 8 CPU cores

According to VideoCardz, the leaked Ryzen AI 7 HX 455 features eight CPU cores and 16 threads. The chip reportedly uses Radeon 890M integrated graphics with 16 compute units. That graphics configuration stands out because the Radeon 890M also appears in AMD’s higher-end Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 and HX 470 processors.

This could make the HX 455 an interesting option for laptops that need capable integrated graphics without a dedicated GPU. However, the leak does not reveal the processor’s CPU boost clock, GPU frequency, NPU performance, or power rating. AMD has also not officially confirmed the processor’s existence.

Ryzen AI 400 series could get another HX model

AMD’s existing Ryzen AI 400 laptop lineup includes the Ryzen AI 9 HX 475 and HX 470. Both processors feature 12 CPU cores, 24 threads, and boost clocks reaching 5.2GHz. The HX 475 delivers up to 60 TOPS of dedicated NPU performance, while the HX 470 offers up to 55 TOPS. Both also feature Radeon 890M integrated graphics.

If the leaked HX 455 uses the same graphics configuration, it could bring that GPU to a lower-tier processor. Its actual performance will depend on clock speeds, power limits, and laptop cooling.

Pricing and availability remain unknown

AMD has not announced pricing or availability for the Ryzen AI 7 HX 455. The company has also yet to confirm its full specifications. For now, treat this as an unconfirmed leak rather than an official product announcement.
