AMD Warns Radeon Users of FSR Driver Issue on Windows 10 PCs
AMD has confirmed an Adrenalin 26.6.2 driver issue affecting some Radeon RX users on Windows 10
AMD, which yesterday confirmed FSR 4.1 support for Radeon RX 7000 GPUs, has now acknowledged a new issue affecting certain Radeon RX graphics card owners after the release of its latest Adrenalin software version.
AMD confirms driver problem on Windows 10 PCs following Adrenalin 26.6.2 release
As reported by Neowin, AMD has published a support advisory warning that some Windows 10 users may encounter problems after installing AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2. According to the company, affected systems can display a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager, preventing Radeon Software from launching normally.
The issue appears to impact users running Windows 10 alongside compatible Radeon RX graphics cards. AMD Software may immediately throw up an error message and refuse to launch rather than opening normally.
Users affected by the bug will see the following warning:
“The version of AMD Software that you have launched is not compatible with your currently installed AMD graphics driver.”
The message also directs users to AMD’s support documentation for additional troubleshooting information. While AMD hasn’t shared how widespread the issue is, the company has officially listed it as a known problem and says its engineering teams are actively investigating the root cause.
Until a permanent fix is released, AMD has advised affected users to revert back to AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.1. That workaround currently serves as the company’s only recommended solution for systems experiencing the launch failure.
