Arknights: Endfield Brings Action RPG Combat to PS5 on January 22, Check Gameplay Details
Arknights: Endfield is almost here, and Hypergryph is finally opening the door to what players can expect on PS5. The game will launch on January 22, with Endfield taking the Arknights universe in a new direction. This time, the focus is on real-time action, open-ended exploration, and large-scale systems that grow alongside your story. The setting is Talos-II, a harsh but striking planet shaped by past disasters and unfinished ambitions.
You play as the Endministrator, leading a squad of Operators tasked with pushing the boundaries of civilization. Exploration and expansion go hand in hand. As you move through dangerous zones, industrial facilities rise behind you, turning wastelands into functioning hubs.
Combat is built around fast, tactical decision-making. Up to four Operators fight at once, and you can switch control freely between them. Attacks flow into stagger damage, opening enemies up for devastating Executions. Skills consume SP, ultimates change the pace of battle, and well-timed positioning allows Operators to chain combo abilities together.
Outside combat, Endfield’s Automated Industry Complex system plays a central role. Players build production lines that generate gear, medical supplies, and resources that directly impact progression. The Blueprint system simplifies it all, letting you place, copy, or move entire setups instantly, even sharing layouts with others.
The story doesn’t stop at launch. New regions, threats, and companions await as the mystery of Talos-II deepens, with key characters like Tangtang shaping what comes next.
On PS5, Endfield supports DualSense haptics, adaptive triggers, 3D audio, and Activities integration, making the experience feel purpose-built for the console.
