As Black Ops 7 Struggles, Activision Rolls Out a Free Trial
Activision prepares a major push to revive interest in Call of Duty Black Ops 7 after the game’s rocky launch and weaker-than-expected sales. The studio announced that a free trial will arrive next week, giving players a chance to jump into both multiplayer and zombie modes.
Free Black Ops 7 Trial Lets Players Test Multiplayer And Zombies
While Activision has not shared an exact release date, the company confirms that the trial will run for a limited time and aims to bring new and returning players back into the game.
The offer includes a Double XP weekend, allowing players to level up faster and unlock gear at an accelerated pace. This bonus comes as part of Activision’s broader effort to re-energize the community after multiple reports showed that Black Ops 7 sales are down by as much as 63 percent compared to competing shooters. The publisher also acknowledged in a recent statement that Black Ops 7 has not met fan expectations and promised stronger innovation in future releases.
Black Ops 7 launched almost a month ago, and the decision to introduce a free trial highlights the challenges the game faces in its early lifecycle. With gameplay access, zombies mode, and Double XP on the table, many players may decide to give the game another shot.
