  1. Exit the Epic Games Store.exit epic games store
  2. Exit Ubisoft Connect.exit ubisoft connect
  3. Connect VPN to region you purchased the game.Use VPN
  4. Start Ubisoft Connect and login.login ubisoft connect
  5. Start Epic Games Store and login.login epic games store
  6. First time you get an error – Unable to activate license.
  7. Restart Epic Games Store.
  8. Game activated and you can download now.
  9. Disconnect VPN after license is activated.

Remember that this is far from an official fix. Just treat it as a temporary workaround that worked for many players in the same situation.
