Avowed has been out, and already users have experienced issues. Speaking of which, many have encountered an Avowed Unpacking error, and this issue will prevent you from installing the game. However, there are ways to fix this problem.

How can I fix the Avowed Unpacking error?

Free up additional space

On PC

  1. On Windows, go to Installed apps and remove the software that you don’t use.

  2. You can also remove games that you don’t play anymore from various gaming clients.
  3. Remove any large files that you no longer need.
  4. Use Disk Cleanup to free up additional space.

On Xbox

  1. Open the Guide with the Xbox button.
  2. Go to My games & apps.my games and apps
  3. Go to See all.
  4. Select the game you want to remove and press the View button.
  5. Now select Uninstall all.

  6. Lastly, select Uninstall all to confirm.

According to gamers, the game requires additional space equal to its download size for it to unpack and install properly, so try to free up as much space as possible if you encounter this issue.

After freeing up space, try to download and install the game again.
