Just before Xbox takes the stage for its 2025 Games Showcase, it quietly dropped a classic RPG surprise. Baldur’s Gate: Enhanced Edition and Baldur’s Gate II: Enhanced Edition are now live on Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Cloud Gaming.
It’s a full-circle moment for fans who remember January 2024, when a stray Xbox Game Pass notification hinted the games were coming soon, only for that alert to go nowhere. Now, nearly 18 months later, the enhanced versions of these genre-defining RPGs are finally part of the Game Pass library.

Game Pass subscribers can jump straight into over 100 hours of gameplay, including expansions like Siege of Dragonspear and Throne of Bhaal. Each edition also includes modern UI updates, new characters, and quality-of-life improvements, making them more accessible than ever for both returning fans and first-timers.
Both titles are available on Xbox consoles and through Xbox Cloud Gaming, so even PC players can stream them without a console.
