cheapest gaming laptops

So you’re a gamer, but you need a gaming device that is portable to accommodate your lifestyle. Having the ability to game on the go is certainly a luxury most gamers fantasize about. Yet it isn’t always easy to find a gaming laptop that won’t cost you an arm, leg, and soul.

So what do you do? Well, fortunately, special unicorns of gaming computers that you can fit in your backpack and won’t cost you a small fortune actually exist. What are these mythical devices? Well, check out the list below.

5 cheapest gaming laptops you can get in 2018

  1.  Lenovo Legion Y520
  2. Dell 15.6-Inch Gaming Laptop
  3. ASUS X555DA-WS11 15.6-inch
  4. Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4
  5. Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM

1. Lenovo Legion Y520 [recommended]

The Lenovo makes it first on this list because quite simply, it is an absolute beast. This laptop is specifically built for gaming, and it features a 15.6-inch screen, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti 4GB, 256 GB to 1 TB SSD, 8GB DDR4 RAM, WIndows 10, and i5 or i7 processor

The list of specs is impressive, especially considering how affordable the pricing is. If you choose to purchase the laptop with an upgraded SSD (1 TB compared to 256 GB) and processor (i5 compared to i7), then you may only have to pay a little over 1000 USD.

Just the design of the Legion Y520 is completely stunning. The gaming monster comes in black and red, with a smudge-resistant body. It is only 25,8 mm thick and weighs 2.5 KG. This work of art is perfect to be used on the go.

For a better gaming experience, we recommend downloading Game Fire for free. It will help with various gaming issues, such as low FPS, lags and slow PC.

There is also a backlit keyboard, high-quality Dolby speakers, an effective cooling system, and many more features.

Most importantly, the 1050 ti graphics card integrated into the Legion Y520 will allow you to play all the recent games smoothly. The i5 and i7 CPU are no jokes either when it comes to providing sufficient computing power for CPU intensive games. Play the latest games and look good doing so with the Lenovo Legion Y520.

2. Dell 15.6-Inch Gaming Laptop ($748)

If you are looking for something cheaper but less powerful, then you will want to check out the Dell 15.6 inch Gaming notebook computer. It comes with the somewhat less powerful 4GB GTX 960M from Nvidia. There is also a Quad core 6300HQ i5 CPU that comes with this Dell gaming laptop. For storage capacity, it comes with a 256GB SSD.

While it doesn’t exactly have the latest graphics card, it is very reliable. Overall, it is one of the best budget laptops designed for gaming.</p>

The Dell gaming laptop comes with an anti-glare 15.6 inch display capable of producing HD 1080p images. The sound quality is certainly impressive also.

In addition, the laptop features a battery with 6 cell 74Whr, that is supposedly capable of lasting over 10 hours without a recharge. The laptop is only 1-inch thick, so you won’t have any trouble moving it around.

This computer is a favorite among many gamers as it gives great bang for the buck. It isn’t too expensive and it doesn’t come short in terms of computing power.

If you are looking for an overall good budget gaming laptop then you may want to consider this Dell laptop.

3. ASUS X555DA-WS11 15.6-inch (Around $600)

This ASUS laptop utilizes gaming hardware from AMD, Nvidia’s direct competitors. It features a (Carrizo) Radeon R6 GPU, AMD A10-8700p 1.8GHz CPU, a 1366×768 resolution display.

For those who are not as familiar with the AMD CPU lineup, the A10 offers the same or similar processing power to the i5 from Intel. Furthermore, the Radeon R6 GPU probably won’t allow users to play the latest games, but it will certainly allow you to play games such as Diablo 3 and Counterstrike: Global Offensive with great FPS.

Perhaps the most unique feature of this portable PC is that it comes with a 10-finger touchscreen, which will offer users more ways to navigate Windows 10.

There are of course some disadvantages of this laptop. For instance, since the A10 takes up a lot of power, the laptop only has a 5-hour battery lifetime. Furthermore, the display only has 720p resolution, which is below the standard 1080p resolution monitors should have these days.

On the other hand, this ASUS laptop is flexible and reliable. I advised users who are looking for a computer that works well for work, school, and casual gaming to consider this laptop.

4. Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575G-57D4 ($549.99)

An even cheaper alternative is the Acer Aspire E 15. This pure black gaming laptop features an 8GB SDRAM, 256 GB SSD, and GeForce 940MX GPU.

It is the perfect workhorse for your gaming needs. It has sufficient computing power to allow users to play even some of the more GPU intensive games out there. It is fast, reliable, and has a comfortably sized kkeyboard

It is impressive for only around $500 you can still get so much from a gaming laptop. For instance, the display screen is 15.6 inches, 1080p, and utilizes ACer ColorBlast technology. You also have a 7th Generation intel i5 core 7200 CPU integrated into this gaming workhorse.

However, the laptop weighs 5.27 lbs and is 1.19 inches thick. So it isn’t exactly the sleekest, thinnest&nbsp;laptop around, but it certainly will impress with its performance.

Gamers on a small budget that are looking for a reliable gaming laptop, should seriously consider the Acer Aspire E 15. It is popular among many users as it fulfills the needs of your average gamer.

5. Acer Aspire E 15 E5-575-33BM ($349.99)

This laptop is one of the cheapest gaming laptops on the market that is worth mentioning. While this gaming device is so cheap, it still offers decent hardware.

It features USB 3.1, Bluetooth functions, Core i3, 4GB of RAM, and a 1080p resolution screen. It also has an impressive battery life of 12 hours.

You will be able to play most games as long as they are not GPU or CPU intensive.

The H>D 1080p display on this laptop is probably its best feature.

On the other hand, one of the most important disadvantages of this laptop is that it does not come with a SSD. Rather, you will be stuck with a 1 TB HDD. Of course, you can always purchase a portable SSD to speed up operations.

All in all, if you absolutely have to go easy on the money, then this gaming laptop will most likely be perfect for you.

Wrapping it up

This list shows the cheapest gaming laptops on each “level”. The different laptops in each price range should help you find the ideal gaming device that fits your specific wants and budget.
