Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Releases Free Thank You Update After Game Awards Sweep

Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 dominated The Game Awards, and the developers responded with a surprise content drop. The new Thank You update is completely free and adds fresh gameplay, customization, music, and end-game challenges.

What’s New in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 Thank You Update

The update brings a brand-new playable zone set in Verso’s Drafts, described as a childish environment with new enemies and exploration themes. Players can unlock 13 new weapons, collect 16 new Luminas, and try out additional costumes and hairstyles that expand character creation.

The developers also added more soundtrack content, giving fans extra music to enjoy while exploring the new area. Advanced players can tackle new late-game boss battles that raise the difficulty and introduce tougher enemy designs. A full Photo Mode arrives as well, letting players capture creative and cinematic screenshots throughout their adventure.

To access the new zone, players must reach Act 3, unlock Esquie’s underwater ability by reaching Relationship level 6, then open the Continent map and scroll to the bottom-right corner. A new island southeast of Lumiere will appear, marking the entrance to the added content.
