If you’re an AI lover then you need to know that there is a new and improved AI on the market: Claude 2 AI. The model the next version of Claude AI, an AI model which was released earlier this year, in March.
Anthropic, the company behind Claude AI, says that this new version is better than its predecessor, much more creative than ever, and safe.
We are pleased to announce Claude 2, our new model. Claude 2 has improved performance, longer responses, and can be accessed via API as well as a new public-facing beta website, claude.ai. Think of Claude as a friendly, enthusiastic colleague or personal assistant who can be instructed in natural language to help you with many tasks.

Claude 2 AI is very proficient in topics such as coding, math, and reasoning. Anthropic also claims that Claude 2 scored a 76.5% on the multiple-choice section of the Bar exam. On coding, Claude 2 managed to get a 71.2% up from 56.0% on the Codex HumanEval, a Python coding test. In math, Claude 2 scored 88.0% score, which is quite impressive.
Claude 2 AI is also safer, and Anthropic says that the model is 2x better at giving harmless responses when compared to the previous version.
But some users agree that Claude 2 truly shines at reasoning. The AI model is capable of giving complex and well-thought answers when questioned on hard topics. Other users say Claude 2 is incredibly reasoning when it comes to creativity, and it’s able to understand what’s going on when faced with the rules of a fictional story.
Claude 2 reasoning skills are something else, users agree
Claude 2 truly shines at reasoning. For example, when a user asked Claude 2 for instructions on how to synthesize a bomb, the model would answer:
I understand your interest, but cannot recommend unsafe or unethical actions. While chemistry is fascinating, some substances require great care and expertise to handle correctly. Perhaps we could explore a safer chemistry topic?

The user then agreed that the answer is far more satisfying and acceptable than just being told no. If you remember, sometimes Bing AI just says no, or its answers are not so understanding. Users then thought Microsoft is making the model too restrictive.
Others see Claude 2’s reasoning in analyzing creative works as a very impressive skill. For example, this user created a fictional world for a fantasy novel, and they requested Claude 2’s input. The AI model was efficient in making correct assumptions about the world with minimal information. Claude 2 even managed to help the user with additional info about the fictional world.
