EA Sports FC 27 Pre-Orders Go Live, Kylian Mbappé & Jude Bellingham Lead the Cover

Electronic Arts has officially pulled back the curtain on the cover art for EA Sports FC 27, confirming that Kylian Mbappé is once again the face of the franchise. The Real Madrid forward returns to the cover after four years, becoming the first player to headline the EA Sports FC series since the franchise dropped the FIFA branding.

The announcement comes after an incredible summer for Mbappé, who helped France reach the latter stages of the 2026 FIFA World Cup and finished the tournament as the Golden Boot winner. EA appears to have capitalized on that hype by bringing one of football’s biggest stars back to the front of its flagship football title.

Ultimate Plus Edition gets another Real Madrid star

EA also confirmed that Jude Bellingham joins Mbappé on the Ultimate Plus Edition cover, with both Real Madrid stars appearing together ahead of the game’s worldwide launch. The company also released the first gameplay teaser and confirmed that a full reveal will showcase the biggest gameplay additions coming to this year’s installment.

EA Sports FC 27 is scheduled to launch worldwide on September 25, 2026, across PlayStation, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, and Nintendo Switch 2. The publisher has also teased new gameplay features and expanded social experiences that will be detailed during the full reveal event. You can pre-order it here.

Mbappé is no stranger to EA’s football franchise, having previously appeared on the covers of FIFA 21, FIFA 22, and FIFA 23. However, FC 27 marks his first appearance as the cover athlete since EA rebranded the long-running series to EA Sports FC, making this a symbolic return for one of the game’s most recognizable ambassadors.
