The new Epix app for Windows 8 users is available in the Windows Store and it lets users enjoy over 3,000 big Hollywood hit movies, concerts, comedy specials and originals. Of course, they are not for free, as you will still need a subscription.
There are not too many apps that you can use to watch free movies on your Windows 8 tablets, as it is pretty hard to find legal ways to do it. Of course, if you have a subscription with a service such as Netflix, you don’t need to pay anything extra to see the movies in Windows 8. I, for one, don’t have a Epix subscription, so I went to their website and tried to opt for a free 14-day trial, but discovered that the service is only available for U.S. residents. If you don’t have a subscription, try out the trial version to see if it’s worth the effort. By using the service, you will be able to stream such movies a Skyfall, Marvel’s the Avenger, Jack Reacher and many others. What’s really cool is that the movies are cut and free of any commercials.
