Microsoft leaker WalkingCat has highlighted some of the first (and most interesting) sessions for Microsoft’s upcoming Build developer conference. The two sessions cover the Metaverse, as well as Windows app development with some “exciting news” (via

Titled “Microsoft Build Into Focus: Metaverse,” the first session of interest pointed out by WalkingCat is set for Tuesday, May 24 from 3:30 PM to 4:14 PM EDT. It is set to feature Microsoft Teams GM Nicole Herskowitz, as well as Sam George, who is the CVP of Azure IoT. Matt Fleckenstein is also set to appear, too. There is no actual description of the session just yet, however, but it won’t be surprising if some Teams product news is part of this.

The second session is a bit more interesting if you’re a Windows fan. Titled “Develop Windows apps on and for a rich ecosystem of platforms and devices,” this one is set for Wednesday, May 25, from 4:00 PM to 4:45 PM EDT. In the description, Microsoft mentions that “in this session, we’ll explore Windows’ power and flexibility, tools, and unveil some exciting news … you don’t want to miss this session!” It’s likely that this is related to Linux or Android app development, or possibly the work of the new Android Microsoft Platform and Experience Team.

If you’re curious as to what other sessions are available for Build 2022 right now, you can visit the Sessions Schedule page to check things out. There’s a total of 82 sessions, though many do seem to just be blank for now while Microsoft fills out the action content. There are a couple of other interesting listings for Teams apps, notifications in Windows, as well as the Microsoft Store, so be sure to check it out, as it is free to attend and register.
