Forza Horizon 6 PC Requirements and Save Sharing Details Are Finally Here

forza horizon 6 crossplay

Playground Games just dropped the official PC hardware requirements for Forza Horizon 6, along with news about cross-platform saves. The racing game launches on May 19, and the studio is continuing its trend of making the series optimized for a wide range of computers. You will not need a massive desktop to get the game running smoothly, which is a relief for anyone gaming on a strict budget. Do note that Microsoft has added a gift card and bonuses to Forza Horizon 6 pre-orders.

The PC requirements for every budget

The development team shared a chart showing exactly what you need to play the new title at different settings. If you want to push 4K resolution with all the new ray tracing features turned on, you will need an expensive setup. However, the minimum specs are quite reasonable. You only need an older card like the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1650 Ti or a Radeon RX 6500 XT to run the game on lower settings at 1080p.

The studio also confirmed that handheld devices like the Steam Deck and the ROG Xbox Ally will support the game right at launch. While the company did not provide exact frame rates for these portable machines, the low barrier to entry suggests the hardware should handle the game fairly well.

The game runs on an updated version of the ForzaTech engine and supports modern graphics generation tools like DLSS 4.

The everywhere save feature takes your progress anywhere

Alongside the technical hardware details, Playground Games announced full support for cross-platform saves. This means you can start a race on your Xbox console in the living room and pick up exactly where you left off on your PC. All your unlocked cars, earned credits, and story progress will sync automatically through your connected Xbox account.

This feature makes it much easier to jump between different systems without losing your hard work. You never have to worry about managing separate garages or completing the exact same events twice just because you switched devices.

With these flexible hardware requirements and shared progression, getting into the upcoming racing title looks simpler than before.
