If you’ve been counting the days until Gears of War: E-Day, it’s finally time to clear your calendar. Microsoft has officially locked in the game’s multiplayer beta schedule. Better yet, two separate testing phases are on the way. One of them won’t require early access.

Gears of War: E-Day gets two August open beta weekends

Microsoft has confirmed that Gears of War: E-Day will begin with an Early Access Open Beta running from August 6 through August 10.
Players who qualify for early access will be the first to experience the upcoming multiplayer build before the wider community joins.

That said, the wait for everyone else won’t be long. The Open Beta begins on August 13 and continues until August 17, giving all eligible players a chance to jump into the action before launch.
