Gemini 3.7 Flash Launches With Impressive Coding Performance, Better Agents & a Much Lower Starting Price
Google has wasted little time with its Flash lineup. Gemini 3.7 Flash has been launched just three weeks after Gemini 3.6 Flash, with coding firmly in its sights. Google calls it the company’s most intelligent Flash model yet for coding and agents. The bigger surprise is its introductory pricing, which starts far below 3.6 Flash.
Coding is where Gemini 3.7 Flash wants to make the difference
Gemini 3.7 Flash reportedly improves debugging, issue resolution, and production-ready coding. Google says its FrontierCode 1.1 Main score reaches 43.6%, versus 34.4% for 3.6 Flash. DeepSWE v1.1 shows another sizeable jump. Gemini 3.7 Flash scores 65.3%, compared with 49.0% for its predecessor.

Web development also gets attention. Google says the new model produces more functional layouts and complete applications using fewer prompts. Its WebDev Arena score reaches 1,588 Elo, compared with 1,538 for Gemini 3.6 Flash. That suggests the upgrade is not limited to conventional programming tasks.
The benchmark gains stretch beyond coding
Google reports stronger performance on complex documents and business workflows. On the GDP.pdf benchmark, Gemini 3.7 Flash scores 34%, compared with 22% previously.
AutomationBench shows another jump. The model reaches 30.4%, while Gemini 3.6 Flash managed 17%. Those results matter because Google is positioning Flash as a practical “workhorse.” The company wants developers using it for agents, planning, tool calls, and production workflows.
The model also reportedly handles instructions more closely. Google says it can recognize roadblocks, clarify intent, and reduce the need for repeated attempts.
Gemini 3.7 Flash is also changing the price equation
Google is offering introductory pricing through the end of 2026. Input tokens cost $0.75 per million, while output tokens cost $3.75 per million. That makes the model interesting for developers building AI agents at scale. Google is clearly betting that stronger performance combined with lower costs can accelerate adoption.
As far as availability is concerned, Gemini 3.7 Flash is available through the Gemini API, Google AI Studio, Android Studio, Google Antigravity, and enterprise platforms. It also powers Gemini Spark for eligible Google AI Pro and Ultra subscribers. Google further says that updated safeguards cover areas including cyber misuse and CBRN risks.
