Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition PS5 Release Date Set for October 1

Ghost of Yōtei is getting a much bigger second act. Sony and Sucker Punch have announced a Complete Edition packed with new content. The Ghost of Yōtei Complete Edition launches on PS5 on October 1, 2026. It adds a new story expansion, a new survival mode, and several extras.

Atsu’s story is getting another chapter

The biggest narrative addition is Echoes of Sekigahara. The expansion jumps between Atsu’s present and her earlier time on mainland Japan. Players will meet Nagato, someone from Atsu’s past who arrives in Ezo. The story also explores a previously unseen valley once controlled by the Snake and his Vipers.

Flashbacks will revisit Atsu’s experience during the Battle of Sekigahara. New enemies, heavy weapons, armor sets, dyes, and other rewards are also included. The second major addition is Most Wanted, a new single-player combat survival mode. Sucker Punch describes it as its own take on a roguelike experience.

Players accept bounties and begin new runs against waves of enemies. Defeating enemies earns perks and unlocks additional playable characters. Atsu specializes in dual katanas, while Oyuki uses the kusarigama. Nagato, meanwhile, focuses on the yari.

Existing players get a cheaper upgrade

The Complete Edition costs $69.99 for newcomers. It includes the main game, Ghost of Yōtei Legends, Digital Deluxe content, and the Charm of Hokkyokusei. Players who already own Ghost of Yōtei can upgrade for $14.99. That upgrade adds Echoes of Sekigahara and Most Wanted.

There is more arriving through the October 1 update. Watanabe Mode gets new music, while Photo Mode receives additional stamps. New Game Plus also gets extra cosmetics and new Trophies. Existing owners receive the new Beauty of Yōtei mode without buying the upgrade. That mode turns Ezo into a screensaver-like showcase. The update also adds armor appearance options and a new high-contrast accessibility setting
