Google Chrome features an AI tool called “Help Me Write,” which assists users in writing emails, reviews, social media posts, essays, and more by providing some input. This feature was already integrated into Gmail, and the Help Me Write option appears when you right-click on a web form or the Gmail Compose box.
Guess what? Google is working to add a Compose button to Chrome’s New Tab Page that could open a compose box and aid in writing directly from the New Tab Page, as we have noticed.
Compose button on New Tab Page
As you can see, the Compose button is located in the real search box on the New Tab Page, as shown in the screenshot included in the article, beside the Search by Voice and Search by Image buttons. The feature could potentially enable writing directly from the New Tab Page, where clicking the Compose button could open a compose box.
Having said that, the Compose button isn’t doing anything at the moment. But most of the stuff Google adds to the New Tab Page is kinda aimed at enterprises, so take this news with a pinch of salt. We will let you know if we notice any updates or significant developments on this.
