After unveiling it earlier this month, Google has officially launched the Gemini 4 Argon AI model globally. The latest model caters to developers, businesses, scientists, and everyday users with stronger reasoning, coding, and research capabilities.

Gemini 4 Argon targets complex coding and professional workloads

Google says Gemini 4 Argon excels at multi-step tasks across coding, finance, legal work, cybersecurity, and science. It ranks first on the Vals Index, which evaluates AI performance across critical economic sectors. Google also claims its engineers have increased agentic code submissions by more than 35% while reducing code rollbacks by nearly a third.

The model has already helped refactor Chromium code across hundreds of files, completing work that reportedly took months in weeks. Google also used Argon to optimize its open-source Agent Development Kit, cutting long-session preparation time by 40% and speeding up cold imports by 21%.

Argon has also improved scientific computing, with Google’s researchers making the xTB quantum chemistry package up to 2.3 times faster. The company further highlights gains in 3D visualization, game creation, legal analysis, and business workflows.

Cybersecurity, science, and robotics get major attention

Cybersecurity is another major focus. Google says Argon helped identify and fix vulnerabilities affecting government and healthcare infrastructure. Its research applications include quantum computing, nuclear fusion, rare disease analysis, and enzyme design. Google also demonstrated a video-to-simulation workflow that helped train an Apptronik Apollo humanoid robot to make seven consecutive cornhole shots.

Google says Gemini 4 Argon includes stronger safeguards against harmful requests, jailbreaks, and prompt injection attacks. Its testing also showed fewer attempts to bypass permissions or failing tests.

Pricing, availability, and access

Gemini 4 Argon is available globally through the Gemini API in AI Studio and Google’s Gemini platform. Google AI Ultra subscribers can access it through Antigravity, while Ultra and Pro subscribers can use it in the Gemini app and Search AI Mode.

The introductory API price is $2 per million input tokens and $10 per million output tokens. Cached input tokens receive a 95% discount. The model also supports a unified one-million-token input-output limit.
