SpaceXAI's Grok 4.7 Model Release Date Is Almost Here, What We Know So Far
Grok 4.7’s official release date is nearer that you think of. On September 2, Elon Musk took to X and said that SpaceXAI’s next major AI model is coming 10 days.
Grok 4.7 could release tomorrow, per Elon Musk’s 10-day countdown
Considering the 10 days release window announced last week by Musk himself, the expected release date of Grok 4.7 could be September 12, 2026, which is tomorrow.
That said, SpaceXAI has yet to officially provide a detailed launch schedule or confirm the exact release time. The announcement also leaves several important questions unanswered.
Neither SpaceXAI or Elon Musk has revealed Grok 4.7’s pricing, availability, API plans, or complete technical specifications.
What could make Grok 4.7 interesting?
Grok 4.7 is expected to become the next major step for SpaceXAI’s Grok family. Musk has previously claimed that the upcoming model will outperform Grok 4.6 across the board.
There have also been reports about a 2.1 trillion-parameter architecture. To put things into perspective, that’s roughly 40% more than Grok 4.6. You can expect better token efficiency and additional training using SpaceX’s vast engineering data.
As of now, SpaceXAI has not officially confirmed those details, so they should be treated with a grain of salt. We expect SpaceXAI to reveal benchmark results, new reasoning capabilities, API access, and changes to Grok’s availability at the time of release.
For now, September 12 remains the date to watch. If Musk’s 10-day countdown holds, Grok 4.7 should release tomorrow.
