Grounded 2 is heading into the suburban wilds this July, and things are about to get a whole lot stranger. Obsidian is back with a full sequel, and this time the action moves beyond the lawn and into the overgrown chaos of Brookhollow Park.

It’s still tiny kids versus giant bugs, but now with new biomes, new gear, and—for the first time ever—rideable bugs.

Built in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal, Grounded 2 launches into Game Preview on July 29, with the same survival-meets-slapstick tone that made the first game a surprise hit.

There’s a new all-in-one Omni-Tool for smoother crafting, combat, and building. There are new bug types crawling out from every direction. The team clearly hasn’t been shy about digging through player feedback—the game’s stuffed with community-requested features that longtime fans will recognize immediately.

Whether you’re hopping in solo or dragging friends along for co-op mayhem, Grounded 2 opens up more right from the start. Not to forget, you can ride the bugs, too. The story kicks off stronger, the systems are deeper, and the world feels more reactive than ever, thanks in part to the 25+ million players who shaped the original into a fan favorite.
