GTA 6 PC Release Date Could Be Just 6 to 7 Months Away, Claims Analyst

GTA 6 PC players might not have to wait as long as they did for GTA 5. Earlier this month, there were some rumors that hinted Rockstar could target Q1 2027 for GTA 6’s PC release. Now, Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter has offered a different timeline, suggesting the highly anticipated game could arrive within six or seven months.

Michael Pachter puts GTA 6 PC release six to seven months away

During a BBC News interview, Pachter discussed GTA 6’s upcoming console launch and its potential impact on Sony. Top5Gamingx shared a clip of the interview on X, where he said the game would also release on PC in approximately six or seven months (via Insider Gaming).

GTA 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Counting six or seven months from late October points toward late April or May 2027. However, Pachter did not provide an official release date, and Rockstar has yet to announce a PC version.

The new estimate doesn’t exactly match the Q1 2027 report

The earlier GTA 6’s Q1 2027 PC release window cited four anonymous industry sources familiar with Rockstar’s plans. The two timelines do not fully align. Q1 2027 covers January through March, while Pachter’s latest estimate points toward a later launch. Both claims remain unconfirmed, so neither should be treated as Rockstar’s final release plan.

GTA 5 took much longer to reach PC

As you may know, GTA 5 launched on consoles in September 2013, before arriving on PC in April 2015. That created a gap of roughly 19 months between its original launch and PC debut. A mid-2027 release would mean GTA 6 reaches PC considerably faster. However, Rockstar has not confirmed whether it plans to shorten that gap for its upcoming blockbuster. For now, PC players should treat Pachter’s comments as an analyst prediction, not a confirmed launch window. Rockstar’s official launch plans remain focused on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S for November 19, 2026.
