Key notes
- The GTA Trilogy is now available via Game Pass on Xbox Series X/S and Xbox One.
- The GTA Definitive Edition game has been long anticipated, and now there is a release date.
- The game will only be available on a select platform for the PC version
It may seem that the long wait is over as the Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition remaster collection will now be available via Game Pass on Xbox Series X, Series S, and Xbox One.
On November 11, the game will be available across different platforms. Whereas this may be good news, the sad part is that the PC version will only be available on Rockstar Games Launcher.
This may lock out quite a number since the only way to access the trilogy is to purchase the entire collection via Rockstar Games’ storefront.
Limited availability
If you thought that there was a leeway on Steam, RGS, and other platforms, you are in for a surprise.
The remasters are not available anywhere else on PCs. There is only the Rockstar Game Launcher option.
The decision to only be exclusive on Rockstar Game Launcher has its own cons. For instance, the remasters collection fails to include the two key tie-in games; GTA: Vice City Stories and Liberty City Stories.
These two games contain characters, locations, and context but are not included in the collection. They complement the trilogy.
Good news
On to some more good news, users can rest assured that the GTA: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will not cut radio stations or music.
If you are a longtime fan of GTA, you know that the soundtracks play a huge part in making the game interesting, making this a huge relief.
