Surface Pro Business

Microsoft has unveiled the Surface Pro 11th Edition and Surface Laptop 7 for Business, designed for enterprise customers. They are available for preorder now and will launch on September 10.

As their names suggest, the Surface Pro 11th Edition and Surface Laptop 7 for Business are aimed at business users and come with a few features that could make them more appealing to that market. The Pro 11 for Business has up to a 12-core Snapdragon X Elite processor and a 13-inch 2880×1920 OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Customers can also get up to 32GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage, and the device supports Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.

The Surface Laptop 7 for Business is powered by the 12-core Qualcomm Snapdragon X Elite (X1E80100), and the 13-inch version can be optionally specced with the 10-core Snapdragon X Plus (X1P64100). Memory options include either 16GB or 32GB of LPDDR5x. As for storage, the Surface Laptop 7 for Business has a user-removable PCIe Gen 4 SSD with 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB capacities.

Microsoft also touts the “enterprise-grade security” of the Pro 11 for Business, which includes a TPM 2.0 chip, BitLocker support, and a Microsoft Pluton security processor. The device ships with Microsoft 365 apps preinstalled and a 30-day trial to Microsoft 365 Business Standard, Microsoft 365 Business Premium, or Microsoft 365 Apps. The Pro 11th Edition for Business runs Windows 11 Pro, the business-focused version of Microsoft’s latest operating system.

On the other hand, the Surface Laptop 7 for Business ships with Windows 11 Pro. Spec-wise, it is identical to its regular variant with the exact technicalities: Wi-Fi 6E, 5G connectivity, a 1080p IR camera, and a 3D-sensing time-of-flight (ToF) camera for Windows Hello. On the audio front, the Surface Laptop 7 for Business features dual far-field studio mics and Dolby Atmos-tuned speakers.Surface Pro Business

Microsoft says it’s made the Pro 11th Edition for Business “highly repairable” and that the device has the highest repairability score of any Surface product. The list of components that can be repaired and replaced in the Pro 11 for Business includes the display module, removable solid-state drive, battery, motherboard (including central processor and main memory), Surface Connect, thermal module, microphone module, solid-state drive door, speakers, enclosure (bucket), front camera, rear camera, power and volume buttons, kickstand, device entry kit, and SIM card connector.

Customers can get the Surface Pro 11th Edition for Business in either Platinum or Black. Starting September 26, Microsoft will offer a 5G model of the Pro 11 for Business for an additional $100.

The Surface Pro 11th Edition for Business is now available for preorder from Microsoft’s website. It will launch on September 10 and cost $999.99. The device will also be available at Microsoft Stores and Best Buy. The Surface Laptop 7 for Business will be available through Microsoft’s commercial device resellers, starting at $1,399.

Microsoft also announced a new Surface Keyboard for the Surface Pro 11th Edition and other Surface devices. It includes a Copilot key to access Microsoft’s Copilot+ AI features, with improved tactility and quieter keys. The keyboard also includes dedicated Windows 11 shortcut keys for actions like calling and muting and a snip and sketch key for quickly taking screenshots and opening Microsoft’s Snip & Sketch app.

The Surface Keyboard is compatible with the Surface Pro 11th Edition, Surface Pro 7+, Surface Pro 7, Surface Pro X, Surface Laptop 4, and Surface Laptop Go. Microsoft will offer the Surface Keyboard in Glacier, Platinium, and Graphite colours starting October 3, but it’s not yet sharing pricing.
