Intel’s Releases Latest Wi-Fi Driver for Windows 10 and 11 With New Connectivity Features
Intel has released a new wireless driver package, Intel Wireless Wi-Fi Drivers 24.20.0, to expand support for its latest Wi-Fi 7 hardware alongside reliability and connectivity improvements for Windows users. The update officially adds driver support for Intel’s newest Wi-Fi 7 adapters, including the Intel Wi-Fi 7 BE211 and BE213, while continuing support for a wide range of Wi-Fi 6 and Wi-Fi 6E products.

Intel, in its release notes, mentions that the drivers are validated for Windows 10 and Windows 11, with confirmation that newer releases are now aligned with Windows 11 version 25H2.
That said, Intel once again makes it clear that Wi-Fi 7 features are best experienced on Windows 11. While the adapters technically work on Windows 10, functionality is limited. Full Wi-Fi 7 capabilities, including access to the 6GHz band, require Windows 11 24H2 or newer.
On the fixes side, driver version 24.20.0 introduces a new advanced setting that lets users toggle Channel-Load usage for access point selection during roaming, which should help improve connection behavior in crowded networks. Intel also notes improved system stability, more reliable wireless connectivity, and enhanced Wi-Fi sensing functionality across both Windows 10 and Windows 11.
As part of Intel’s ongoing cleanup, the package continues to exclude drivers for several discontinued wireless products, including older Wireless-AC and Dual Band adapters, which now require separate legacy downloads. Moreover, Intel recommends updating to the latest version to benefit from performance, stability, and functional improvements
