Is Bluesky Down & Not Working? Massive Outage Leaves App & Web Users Stranded
Bluesky is giving hard time to its users, as the latest outage appears to have knocked down the platform. Users across multiple regions are reporting failed logins, broken feeds, missing media, and connection errors. Downdetector is also showing a sharp spike, with user reports briefly surging above 2100.
Bluesky outage hits users across multiple regions
Many users on Reddit have reported that both the Bluesky website and mobile app are failing to load properly. Some users are experiencing error messages such as “Unable to Connect” and “Failed to perform upstream request.” Others report blank feeds, missing images, failed notifications, and repeated loading screens.
Interestingly, Bluesky’s status account reportedly identified an issue affecting accounts connected to the suillus.us-west.host.bsky.network PDS. That suggests the disruption may not affect every Bluesky account equally.
Bluesky’s public status page is also returning an error while attempting to load its data. For now, users experiencing problems may simply need to wait for the affected services to recover. Repeatedly reinstalling the app or changing devices probably will not help if the issue sits server-side.
We’ll be back and update if we hear anything new in this matter.
