Is Gemini Down Right Now? Users Report 1076 & 1099 Error Codes

Google’s AI assistant, Gemini, which has become a staple for millions around the globe, might be facing an outage as of now. Users on X (FKA Twitter) and Reddit have complained that Gemini is down and is throwing multiple error codes.

Many users have reported seeing “Something went wrong, please try again (1076).” Some users reported seeing the same error with a different code, 1099. Apparently, the issue has affected both Gemini website and app users.

Over on outage detection site Downdetector, we can see a huge spike, suggesting an elevated rate of errors reported by users. So yes, Gemini is having problems at the moment, but it doesn’t appear to be widespread or at least may have been resolved after a brief outage period.

As of now, we haven’t heard anything from Google. If we come across an update, we’ll let you know.
