At WWDC 2025, Apple announced iOS 26. The centerpiece of the keynote? A shiny new design language called “Liquid Glass.” It’s all about blur, depth, and frosted translucency across the OS, stretching from the lock screen to apps and widgets.

If you’ve been around long enough, this probably looked familiar. Within hours, an Instagram reel from the official Windows account started making the rounds. It subtly highlights just how much “Liquid Glass” looks like Windows Vista’s Aero Glass UI from 2006.

The video doesn’t say much, because it doesn’t have to. In simple words, it says Apple’s newest interface is similar to classic Vista, followed by a blunt caption: “Just gonna leave this here.” That’s it. No narration. No commentary. Just pure visual shade.

The reel went viral not because it said something new, but because it reminded everyone that Apple’s “new look” might not be that new after all. Microsoft hasn’t officially commented, but this kind of quiet internet trolling says a lot.
