KB5043076 internet

KB5043076 was released last week as part of the September 2024 Patch Tuesday updates, but ever since its release, the patch has caused several issues on Windows 11. For some users, it will appear installed, but certain apps in Windows 11 won’t recognise it.

For others, however, once KB5043076 is successfully installed, it will cause Internet connectivity issues.

I’ve just installed KB5043076, and find that I’ve lost all network connectivity. My ethernet adapter shows good status and I have connected to wifi (which I typically don’t use at all), but seem to have lost all functioning network connectivity.

I also attempted to roll back the update through Windows Update -> Update history -> Uninstall updates but am left with “No internet access” on both the ethernet and wifi interfaces.

Any others seeing similar behaviors?

If you’ve installed KB5043076 and are experiencing Internet issues, you should know there is a workaround.

You’ll need to physically unplug your device from the network, remove the client profile from the Unifi OS, and reboot the network controller.

Your computer should be recognised again, and it can connect to the Internet.
