KB5043076

Microsoft has issued the Patch Tuesday updates for Windows 11 23H2, 22H2, and 21H2. The updates are delivered via KB5043076 for 23H2 and 22H2 and KB5043067 for 21H2. Once applied, they will take you to build 22631.4169, 22621.4169, and 22000.3197, respectively.

As part of the Patch Tuesday updates, KB5043076 and KB5043067 include general security updates for each version.

The updates also include several known issues, such as difficulties booting Linux in a dual-boot setup and the inability to change your user profile picture. It seems that these known errors are widespread in all the patches released this month, as Windows 10 is also affected by them.

In addition, KB5043067 for Windows 11 21H2 includes new policies and settings that will update profiles for certain mobile service operators. It’s worth mentioning that using Bluetooth earbuds with this Windows 11 version might be frustrating, as the Redmond-based tech giant highlights that the connection is not stable.

[Bluetooth] Connections to some wireless earbuds are not stable. This occurs on devices that have firmware from April 2023 and later.

On the other hand, KB5043076 fixes some issues for Windows 22H2, such as the User Account Control (UAC) not prompting for credentials.

The complete changelogs for 23H2 and 22H2 updates are found below, while the one for 21H2 can be found here.

You can grab the updates now via Windows Update or manually download them from the Microsoft Update Catalog here.
