Kena: Bridge of Spirits, an indie standout, has been making waves since it first appeared in 2021. It won awards such as Best Independent Game and Best Debut Indie Game at The Game Awards 2021. At first it was only for PlayStation and PC (due to a one-year agreement with Epic Games Store). But now this game is breaking the shackles of exclusivity and heading towards Microsoft’s console. And let me tell you, the excitement is real, at least for you, cozy gamers out there!
What is the Kena BoS exclusive content for Xbox?
This game is about the lovely tale of Kena who is a spirit guide and her journey with Rot creatures. The narrative is not the only thing causing a stir; it includes the Anniversary DLC update on Xbox, which brings in Charmstones, Spirit Guide Trials, Kena Outfits and crucial accessibility elements. Also, there’s a New Game+ choice for those who want more.
Hold on, there’s another exciting thing! A physical Premium Edition will be in the stores too. This is possible because of a collaboration with Maximum Entertainment. This edition that collectors would love to have can be found from 15 August 2024 and it includes not only the game but also a digital soundtrack, sticker sheet, unique Kena staff as well as Golden Rot skin. And for Xbox players, exclusive pirate-themed Rot hats! How cool is that?
Even though some critics have noted the game’s gameplay elements are similar to others in this genre (like Zelda), Kena: Bridge of Spirits still manages to bring its own charm and magic. It feels like entering a world that has been beautifully animated with surprises at every turn. Also, when you add in the extra content and Xbox exclusives, it feels like a fresh experience.
Therefore, for all those who are experienced gamers or just starting out with Kena’s universe, this release is something we can anticipate. Pre-orders will be available shortly, and I have a sense that it will be one of those games which adds some extra happiness to our gaming periods.
