Intel’s next desktop CPUs might still be a year away, but leaked specs have started to make the rounds online. Hardware leaker chi11eddog just dropped details about the Nova Lake-S lineup, and if accurate, these chips are going to be packed with multiple cores.
There are seven models in total, possibly launching under the Core Ultra 300 series. At the top, the rumored Core Ultra 9 comes with 16 Performance (P) cores, 32 Efficient (E) cores, and 4 Low-Power (LP) cores. That’s 52 cores running at 150W. The Ultra 7 isn’t far behind, with 14P, 24E, and 4LP cores for a total of 42.
The Core Ultra 5 family is expected to include three chips, all at 125W. These may come in 8P/16E/4LP, 8P/12E/4LP, and 6P/8E/4LP configurations. Meanwhile, the Ultra 3 lineup should stay cooler with 65W chips offering 4P/8E/4LP and 4P/4E/4LP layouts.
None of this is official yet. Intel hasn’t commented, and all the details come from a source with a strong—but not flawless—track record. So take this information with a pinch of salt.
Nova Lake-S isn’t expected until 2026. Until then, Intel’s likely to release refreshed Arrow Lake-S chips later this year. But if these Nova specs hold up, it’s clear Intel’s aiming to scale up—fast.
