LEGO PlayStation 1 Leak Points to October-December 2026 Launch & $159 Price Tag
Retro gaming fans may soon have another reason to clear some shelf space. According to a new report by Notebookcheck, a new leak from tipsters DarthBeardBrix and TheBrickNews suggest that LEGO is preparing to launch a brick-built version of Sony’s original PlayStation console later this year.
Rumored LEGO PlayStation 1 set may launch in late 2026 with nearly 2,000 pieces
Per the leakers, the rumored set will have the moniker “Sony PlayStation 1 Console” and feature 1,911 pieces. The model is reportedly assigned set number 72306 and could retail for $159 or €159.
While LEGO has yet to officially announce the product, multiple reports point to a release window between October and December 2026, with some sources specifically suggesting a holiday launch.
The rumored project appears to trace its roots back to the LEGO Ideas platform, where creator AirBricks95 previously submitted a detailed PlayStation 1 concept that attracted more than 10,000 supporters. It remains unclear whether the original designer is involved in the final product.
If the leak proves accurate, the PlayStation 1 would join an increasingly popular collection of retro gaming replicas. That’s not all; besides the included controller, fans are hoping LEGO adds interactive details inspired by the original hardware, including a working disc tray, movable buttons, or hidden Easter eggs.
For now, there are no official images or product details. However, with multiple leakers pointing to the same launch window, the iconic gray console could soon be making a comeback in brick form.
