Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe could give Windows buyers a colorful new MacBook Neo alternative, with AMD Ryzen AI chips, up to 32GB RAM, OLED displays, and seven color options.

According to Windows Latest, Lenovo is preparing 14-inch and 15-inch IdeaPad Vibe models with a wide range of configurations.

The leaked specifications point to options with up to 1TB of storage, 120Hz displays, a 5MP camera, and either 50Wh or 65Wh batteries. Snapdragon-powered variants are also reportedly planned.

Lenovo IdeaPad Vibe gets Ryzen AI 400 and 300 chips

AMD-powered IdeaPad Vibe models can use Ryzen AI 400 or Ryzen AI 300-series processors, with configurations running at up to 30W TDP.

The Ryzen AI 400 options include the Ryzen AI 7 445, Ryzen AI 5 435, and Ryzen AI 5 430. These chips belong to AMD’s newer Gorgon Point generation and offer up to 50 TOPS of NPU performance.

That gives Lenovo several options for positioning the IdeaPad Vibe across different performance and price levels.

RAM starts at 8GB and goes up to 32GB

Lenovo reportedly plans to offer between 8GB and 32GB of LPDDR5X memory.

Configurations include 8GB single-channel models, 16GB single-channel or dual-channel versions, along with 24GB and 32GB dual-channel options.

Storage starts at 256GB and goes up to 1TB. It’s worth mentioning that many of the higher-capacity configurations use QLC flash instead of TLC.

Lenovo is preparing seven colors

The IdeaPad Vibe stands out from many mainstream Windows laptops with seven planned color options.

Lenovo lists Lowkey Grey and Moody Blue as standard finishes, while five additional “Trendy Color” options include Chill Blue, Zen Green, Spicy Gold, Radiant Coral, and Dreamy Violet.

The wider color selection could help Lenovo differentiate the IdeaPad Vibe from more conservative Windows laptops and position it against Apple’s MacBook Neo.

IPS, OLED and 120Hz displays are planned

Lenovo is preparing both 14-inch and 15-inch IdeaPad Vibe models with several display configurations.

The 15-inch version can include a 120Hz WUXGA touch IPS panel, while the listed 14-inch configurations use non-touch displays.

OLED versions provide 100% DCI-P3 coverage and True Black certification. Entry-level IPS panels offer a more basic 60Hz refresh rate and 45% NTSC color coverage.

Lenovo isn’t cutting back on ports

Even base IdeaPad Vibe configurations include two USB-A ports, two USB-C ports, HDMI 1.4, a microSD card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The USB-C ports also support DisplayPort and Power Delivery, giving the laptop considerably more built-in connectivity than many thin-and-light systems.

A 5MP camera and Windows Hello are included

Lenovo lists a 5MP RGB camera with a physical privacy shutter.

An FHD IR camera also appears across the leaked configurations, allowing users to sign in through Windows Hello-style facial authentication.

Battery options reach 65Wh

The IdeaPad Vibe will reportedly come with either a 50Wh or 65Wh battery.

The 65Wh configuration paired with AMD’s efficiency-focused Ryzen AI processors could make battery life one of the laptop’s stronger selling points, although real-world performance remains unknown.

Lenovo has not disclosed pricing yet, which could ultimately determine how competitive the IdeaPad Vibe becomes against the MacBook Neo and other thin-and-light laptops.

Lenovo has also been busy elsewhere. Googlebook 15 renders recently leaked, while another leak suggests the Googlebook could use Snapdragon X Plus and X Elite chips.
