Lenovo launches affordable Lecoo 14 laptop in China with Intel Core i5 and 16GB RAM

Lenovo has added yet another affordable laptop to its lineup, but this one has launched in China. We’re talking about the new Lecoo 14 Core Edition, which pack an Intel Core i5 processor, 16GB RAM, and 512GB storage.

A practical 14-inch laptop with familiar hardware

The Lecoo 14 uses Intel’s Core i5-13420H processor which belongs to the Raptor Lake-H family and features eight cores (via Notebookcheck). The processor is paired with 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD. Its integrated Xe graphics support hardware-accelerated H.264, HEVC, and VP9 media processing.

If you are someone who is looking for premium display, sadly this won’t serve your purpose. Lenovo has packed a 14-inch IPS panel with 1920×1200 resolution in this affordable laptop. It runs at 60Hz and reaches 300 nits of brightness. The panel does offer 100% sRGB coverage and DC dimming.

Port selection is one of the hoghlights, though

The Lecoo 14 has two USB-C ports supporting DisplayPort 1.2 and 65W Power Delivery. There are also three USB-A ports. The remaining connectivity ports include HDMI 1.4 and a 3.5mm headphone jack. Meanwhile, a 55Wh battery powers the laptop. Lenovo also supports 65W USB-C charging for faster top-ups.

The laptop measures 16.6mm thick and weighs around 1.2kg. Stereo speakers are included as well. As far as pricing in concerned, Lenovo has launched the Lecoo 14 with 512GB SSD storage in China for CNY 3,999, which converts to approx. US$593. As of now, it’s unclear whether the laptop will launch in the internation markets or not.

Speaking of laptops, Lenovo has been experimenting with a few wild horizontally stretching display concept, which recently leaked. That’s not all; yesterday a leak detailed Lenovo’s IdeaPad Vibe, which appears to be coming after the Macbook Neo.
